Zack says: “Computer Graphics with Qt/KDE - What's Next?: I'll try to briefly cover all the related technologies and show you a little bit of what you can expect in the near future. I'll be talking about the current state of the 3D pipeline and how we could use it efficiently on the desktop, DRI, drivers, Mesa, X.org, KDrive/Xgl/Xephyr, Qt4's Arthur rendering framework (with the focus on how we use OpenGL backend in the painter to do all the drawing), 3D window managers, some OpenGL basics and explanation of extensions which make most of the above possible.”
