CCNY Lecture Series

The task of comparing two geometric shapes ('shape matching') arises naturally in many applications. This talk will give an introduction into the area of geometric shape matching, and will illustrate the techniques on applications such as satellite self-orientation, protein gel matching, computer-aided neurosurgery, and GPS curve location.
