Distributed Network Service and Management Laboratory

Welcome

Welcome to Distributed System Lab in Steinman building 619, City College of New York. Our research efforts mainly focus on the QOS and security aspects of distributed system . Below is the major research directions in our research lab:

1. Service-level QOS management of distributed networks

 2. Information assurance architectures & protocols

3. Protocol-level control techniques for QOS adaptations:

    availability, performance, and energy tradeoffs

 4. Distributed multimedia collaboration models

 5. Proxy-based overlay network structures for

     content distribution

 6. Internet QOS architectures: DiffServ, IntServ,

     end-to-end connection management

 7. Distributed topology maintenance algorithms on

     wireless ad-hoc networks

8. Modeling and validation of distributed protocols

9. Middleware-level Programming Structures for

    Dissemination of 'timed events'
